Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply software to process gridded weather and climate data.
  • Analyze satellite remote sensing data and process hydrologic sensor data.
  • Produce machine learning models and use industry standard software development tools.

Required Experience/Education:

  • Ph.D. in Hydrology, Ecology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Expertise in satellite remote sensing and management of large spatiotemporal datasets.
  • Strong evidence in using R and Python programming languages.

Preferred Experience:

  • Research focused on river systems and groundwater dependent ecosystems.
  • Use of satellite remote sensing and spatial climate data together within statistical frameworks.
  • Experience using Google Cloud products and Cloud Optimized Geotiffs (COGs).
