Job Description
As a Data Operations Engineer, you’ll play a critical role within the Enterprise Data function, part of the R&D organisation at StarCompliance. You’ll be responsible for the delivery, maintenance, and evolution of the data feed infrastructure that underpins the Star platform, ensuring that clients and brokers can exchange data securely, accurately, and efficiently. Working at the intersection of data operations and software development, this role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate closely with engineering teams, expand your technical expertise, and directly influence the quality and performance of Star’s data ecosystem.
Responsibilities include feed administration and configuration, monitoring and operational support, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Proficiency in SFTP, strong understanding of data encryption, practical experience with SQL Server, familiarity with SSIS, understanding of Windows Server environments and basic scripting, and experience with cloud technologies are required. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is necessary, along with a minimum of 2–3 years in a technical or operational data role.
