Here, your role as a Donor Procurement Coordinator is essential to the organization, facilitating necessary treatment for patients. You will remotely coordinate all activities related to the receipt of organ offers for transplant, evaluate organ offers for suitability, procurement of organs and transplant set-ups. This involves complying with OPTN/UNOS requirements, serving as a contact for transplant offers, and organizing and dispatching the procurement team.
Your responsibilities include coordinating organ transportation, contributing to training, and analyzing data. To excel, you need a Bachelorβs Degree in a science-related field OR a degree/diploma from an accredited Nursing School, Respiratory Therapy Program or Paramedic Program and one year of experience as an organ procurement coordinator OR clinical experience in critical care or in the field of organ procurement/transplant. Maintain valid licenses and required certificates (Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist or Emergency Medical Technician β Paramedic) as well.
