Geospatial Scientist, Data Publishing and Cataloging

About the Role:

• You will serve as a subject matter expert in geospatial data management and governance.
• This fully remote position supports mission-critical federal geospatial data modernization.
• You will work with both technical and executive stakeholders to improve data accessibility.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead data acquisition, validation, and publishing in accordance with government standards.
• Develop and enforce QA/QC processes for data accuracy and metadata completeness.
• Oversee data access controls and disaster-recovery strategies for geospatial systems.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in geospatial data management for federal government programs.
• Strong expertise in GIS, cartography, metadata standards, and data governance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to operate independently.
