Senior Software Engineer, Backoffice Platform

About this role:

• You'll own Ably's back office platform, which manages every customer account, packages, entitlements, limits, and billing across Finance, Customer Success, and Support.
• You'll shape the architecture and data ownership, solving problems end-to-end while working with the Head of Infrastructure and Developer Experience team.

Day to day:

• You'll run the platform that holds customer packages, entitlements, limits, and billing, plus the tooling teams rely on daily.
• You'll partner with Finance, Customer Success, Support, and Engineering to question requirements, make systems explain themselves, and set the testing bar.
• You'll champion AI-assisted development, using LLMs and AI tools for planning, code, and docs while keeping human judgment as the quality bar.
