Key Responsibilities:
- Lead statistical modeling, AI/ML evaluation, and analytic decision support for VA EHR modernization and executive-facing analytics.
- Design, evaluate, and explain statistical and machine learning models, including distributional assumptions, dimension reduction, clustering, NLP, and Bayesian methods.
- Serve as a data governance and quality assurance point of contact, proactively identifying defects, gaps, and anomalies across complex datasets.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of applied data science, statistics, or machine learning experience in complex enterprise or healthcare environments; federal health experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced degree in statistics, data science, or related quantitative field; strong theoretical foundation in statistics and AI/ML.
- Advanced proficiency in R for statistical computing and reproducible analytics, plus strong SQL and Git/GitHub skills.
