Senior Data Engineer I (Postgres DBA)

The Data Engineering team at OppFi is responsible for the design, development, and support of all data-related activities. This includes managing PostgreSQL databases in AWS RDS, ensuring data security and privacy, planning for high availability and disaster recovery, and performing performance tuning. The role involves automating database administration tasks, providing user support, and conducting regular disaster recovery tests.

Additionally, the role includes utilizing Apache Airflow, Hevo, dbt, and Snowflake to prepare data for reporting, data science, and analytics. The Senior Data Engineer will develop audits and controls to ensure data quality, support internal Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse environments, and collaborate with various teams to build data integrations. The team promotes testing and data quality improvement, and the engineer will contribute to solutioning sessions and data modeling.
