Senior CAD Designer

Mainspring Energy is seeking a talented Senior CAD Designer to join the Mechanical team responsible for the detailed design and drafting of the various components and assemblies for our innovative Linear Generator technology. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining detailed 3D CAD models (Solidworks) and 2D engineering drawings, including support for conceptualization and detailed design. Apply GD&T and AWS Welding symbols, adhering to ANSI standards and best practices, to ensure manufacturability, quality, and high-volume production. Support BOM generation and management, engineering change work and iterate designs based on engineer feedback. Support continuous improvement efforts of our CAD processes. Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, welding, casting, forging), and ability to identify and resolve design for manufacturability issues.
