See allAbout the role:
- Own how Mimo computationally generates manufacturable CAD, from geometry methods to research and verification pipelines.
- Work alongside the CTO and research engineer to set the geometry roadmap and build most of it.
What you will do:
- Build methods producing manufacturable CAD across B-rep, implicit and mesh representations.
- Put simulation in the loop: meshing, FEA, and feedback that adjusts geometry, like wall thickness.
- Run analysis pipelines for CAD/mesh characterization, manufacturability checks, and repair.
You may be a good fit if:
- Have 6+ years in computational geometry, CAD kernel or geometry-processing development.
- Bring depth in B-rep kernels, implicit modeling, mesh geometry, simulation, and Python/C++.
How we work:
- We run several AI coding agents on our own tooling and everyone is free to extend it.
- We judge work by the physical thing it produces: a part that prints, a toolpath that cuts, a quote that holds.
MimoLabs
MimoLabs builds Mimo, an agentic system that helps anyone design and manufacture physical objects from a simple description. It is a VC-funded, experienced technical team based at Newlab in Detroit and remote across the US.
