Bridge Engineer

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer for their Highway Engineering Team in Western Canada. They will provide professional engineering services including technical specifications, design criteria and intent, constructability reviews and staging plans for new and rehab structural projects. The engineer will deliver high quality and cost-effective structural evaluation and design solutions for highway projects using internal and external sources. This includes delivering the analysis, development, and implementation of structural designs for highway expansion projects involving functional, preliminary, and detailed designs. They will provide structural assessments including condition, load capacity, service life, rehabilitation and functional needs, life cycle costing, and renewal options analysis as well as structural inspection and assessment reports including having the ability to travel province wide, on short notice, for emergency response or to assess structural integrity of highway infrastructure. The engineer will also manage assignments, provide structural designs, and supervise engineering services during construction, applying the quality management system and implementing corporate policies.
