Job Description

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer I works on a team focused on Ignition-adjacent microservices projects. Under the guidance of a Quality Assurance Group Manager, they are responsible for developing, maintaining and executing automated and manual tests, and for reporting on the progress and status of test activities. This includes validating and verifying new and improved features with a variety of testing tools and approaches, including both automated and manual test execution against both the back-end (API) and front-end (Web), as well as validating database schemas and changes. Additionally, the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer I is directly involved in building and testing production versions of the system. Responsibilities include validating issues, building and maintaining automated test frameworks, diagnosing run failure reports, focusing on testing-related items, developing and executing comprehensive test plans, and maintaining proficiency across multiple product areas. The role involves collaboration, problem-solving, knowledge transfer, and mentoring junior engineers.
