Summary:

  • Support the expedition as an expert in ornithology for Japan voyages.
  • Work varying hours daily based on itinerary, delivering engaging presentations and leading off-ship activities.
  • Assist with general care of Field Staff equipment and spaces.

Essential Duties:

  • Operate inflatable boats, lead hikes, kayak excursions, and cultural tours.
  • Offer in-the-field interpretation and participate in evening recaps.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and respond to guest requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Focus on Japan ornithology expertise with experience in the expedition cruising industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or four years of work experience in a related industry.
  • CPR & First Aid certified, full mobility, and ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds.

Compensation:

  • Daily rate of $310 for this contract position.
  • Travel expenses paid.
