Job Description
Data Expertise:
-Develop analytical data products using Airflow, DataProc, PySpark, and BigQuery on the Google Cloud Platform.
-Build data pipelines to monitor the quality of data and the performance of analytical models.
-Optimize and continuously improve existing data solutions (pipelines, products, infrastructure) for optimal performance, high security, low vulnerability, low costs, and high reliability.
Cloud Technologies:
-Maintain the data platform infrastructure using Terraform and develop, evaluate, and deliver code through CI/CD.
-Demonstrate knowledge of GCP architecture and experience with products like BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Vertex AI.
-Experience in cloud infrastructure architecture and management of application migrations/updates.
Development:
-Work in an agile product team with frequent code deliveries using Test-Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
-Resolve code quality issues flagged by tools like SonarQube, Checkmarx, Fossa, and Cycode throughout the development cycle.
-Provide code that is committed to improving open-source data engineering/software projects.
