Job Description
We are hiring a Data Analytics Engineer to support the VA RISE program, a federal initiative focused on improving how the Department of Veterans Affairs collects, integrates, and leverages data to better serve veterans. In this role, you’ll work closely with analysts, engineers, architects, product owners, and federal stakeholders to extract insights from complex data sets, build data pipelines, and support scalable reporting systems.
You’ll work across both structured and semi-structured data to help transform and improve outcomes for veterans through data-driven decision-making. The role requires 3–5 years of experience in an data analytics or data engineering role, with strong background working in large, regulated environments. Candidates should have expertise in SQL and Python, experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines, and a solid understanding of relational database systems. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and build insightful dashboards and visualizations is required.
