2D Effects Artist (Temporary/Freelance)

Role Overview:

• This is a temporary freelance 2D Effects Animator role for an upcoming feature film.
• The focus is on magical effects, with additional work in elemental effects like water, fire, smoke.
• You will work closely with the Visual Development team and report to the Production Designer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design 2D effects that elevate character performance and cinematic quality.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop magical effects.
• Maintain consistency and apply core animation principles.

Requirements:

• 1+ year experience in 2D animation or visual development with effects focus.
• Proficiency in software like Photoshop, Nuke, After Effects.
• Strong grasp of timing, weight, and physics.
