Job Description
This role is a great fit for an engineer who is excited to build expertise in backend development while also growing into full-stack contributions, helping to build reliable systems that utilize cutting-edge cloud technologies. You’ll work on scaling and optimizing a system that leverages Ruby on Rails, Go, AWS, GCP, and third-party platforms like Iterable, to ensure fast, accurate, and personalized delivery of alerts.
As part of a cross-functional team, you’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business colleagues to build features that reach over 8 million monthly active homeowners, and drive meaningful growth for the business. You will develop and maintain backend services for Neighborhood Alerts using Ruby on Rails, Go, and cloud services such as AWS EKS and GCP Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
You will monitor and orchestrate event-driven data pipelines that help deliver timely alerts to homeowners, utilize a variety of database technologies, build and maintain email templates, write clean and testable code, and participate in code reviews. You will also investigate, identify, and resolve high-impact bugs to help improve overall quality of the product
