About the Role:

  • Muon Space is seeking a Data Scientist to join the calibration team for our infrared imaging missions.
  • This role involves commissioning and calibrating the FireSat constellation and developing calibration plans for SBEM instruments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement radiometric calibration and image processing for multispectral infrared imagery.
  • Develop and execute the calibration program for the SBEM infrared camera.
  • Write production-ready code and operate calibration pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • PhD with 3+ years or MS with 6+ years industry experience in related field.
  • 4+ years of experience calibrating imaging instruments.
  • Exceptional Python skills and strong statistical and mathematical background.
