Node.js Engineer with DevOps and Cloud experience

The Open Home Foundation is looking for a Node.js Engineer with DevOps and Cloud experience, based in Europe, to join our Back-office team. This team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Foundation, offering support to the rest of teams to ensure the proper functioning of our entire organization. In this role, you’d be the primary owner for the development and maintenance of the cloud services that the Open Home Foundation projects rely on. You will design and implement scalable, high-performance, and reliable Node.js applications. You will ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the cloud services that the OHF projects use, such as our mobile notification service, in close collaboration with the Home Assistant and Ecosystem teams. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing and continuous delivery of our cloud applications. Architect and develop highly available backend systems, leveraging containerization with Docker and supporting services like Redis. You will also own the development and maintenance of some of our self-hosted software, including our Discourse-based community forums.
