Operations Supervisor

The Department of Buildings is a City agency responsible for ensuring the safe and lawful use of buildings and properties by enforcing the Construction Code, the Zoning Resolution, and the Energy Code. Under the direction of the Director of Hub Self-Service and Full-Service Operations, the candidate will be responsible for managing and tracking all DOB NOW system activity, including permit filings, renewals, and approvals, Professional Certification (Pro Cert) and Standard filings submissions. The candidate will also assign and route solar and permit-related tasks to appropriate personnel or teams. Investigating and resolving permit-related complaints, ensuring timely and effective solutions and overseeing and responding to inquiries via the Solar Mailbox, addressing topics such as Solar Property Tax Abatement (PTA), permit signoffs and compliance documentation and general solar permitting questions. They will also need to coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues affecting permitting and solar project timelines.
