Senior Information Security Manager

The Role:

• Backstory is looking for a Senior Information Security Manager to build, scale, and own preventative security capabilities.
• This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the CISO, working closely with IT, Engineering, and Product.
• You’ll take broad security objectives and turn them into technical strategies and implementation plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and mature preventative security across cloud, SaaS, endpoint, identity, network, and data environments.
• Evaluate, select, and deploy security tooling for DLP, IAM, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and more.
• Partner with Security Operations to ensure controls enable threat investigation and response.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of progressive information security experience with hands-on implementation of enterprise security controls.
• Deep understanding of cloud, SaaS, endpoint, identity, and data security, including AI environments.
• Experience with security frameworks like NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and Zero Trust.
