Member of Technical Staff, Search

Develop state-of-the-art models for information retrieval as part of the Search team, focusing on training embedding and reranker models. There is an opportunity to revolutionise people's search experience by contributing to building an intelligent, efficient, and precise search system. The role will involve advancing semantic search techniques to improve accuracy and efficiency. Work with a wide range of novel technologies, and collaborate with other teams to integrate work into the search infrastructure. Responsibilities include designing, training, and improving upon cutting-edge search models, gathering high-quality retrieval datasets and optimizing data pipelines for model training and evaluation. The role requires working closely with the model serving team to ensure that inference is fast and stable. The role includes collaboration with product teams to develop solutions, engaging in research collaborations with partner organizations and academic affiliations to publish work in top-tier conferences and journals.
