Cohere is seeking a Compensation Expert for a 2 to 3-month contract to lead a refresh of our compensation bands to help us attract top talent. The ideal candidate needs to be a creative problem-solver with deep expertise and experience in competitive talent markets. You will analyze compensation trends, benchmark against industry data, and update compensation bands using innovative approaches to ensure our ranges are market-leading.

Contribute to building critical internal tools and applications relied upon by hundreds of Cohere employees. Work with a small talented and enthusiastic team of software engineers. Contribute to delightful experiences for our user-facing products, meticulously crafting code for browsers and occasionally server code. Collaborate and grow with your engineering colleagues of all levels through direct pairing sessions, architectural designs, documentation and talks.

Building world-class infrastructure and tools used to train, evaluate and serve Cohere's foundational models. Working in close collaboration with AI researchers to support their AI workload needs on the cutting edge, with a strong focus on stability, scalability, and observability. Responsible for building and operating Kubernetes GPU superclusters across multiple clouds. Work will accelerate AI model development.

Design, build, ship and maintain scalable features for North, our AI workspace platform. Take end-to-end ownership of features — from initial design and planning, through implementation, testing, and delivery. Apply your expertise to deliver at speed, making practical technical decisions that balance velocity with depth and quality. Collaborate closely across teams, maintaining high standards for communication, documentation, and testing. Contribute across the stack to develop new features, fix bugs, and optimise performance.
