Job Description
This Bookkeeper role with the NYPD's Payroll Section involves professional accounting work related to civilian and uniformed member payments for last days worked before Permanent Leave including retirements, resignations, transfers, dismissals and deceased, as well as Temporary Leave including childcare, sick leaves, FMLA leave, military, and suspension.
Responsibilities include processing payments as Supplemental Checks when necessary, mid-week pay adjustments for Civilian MOS including new appointments, provisional appointments, reassignments and reinstatements, mid-week salary changes pay adjustment for Civilian MOS including promotions, upgrades, maturation, title change, demotion and salary adjustments.
The role also requires Researches and prints reports from PMS, RMDS, PI, City Time and CHRMS for all above Assignments, processing Anticipatory week request through City Time, reviewing and correcting work, handling inquiries, and being available for overtime. Must be willing to be cross-trained and work as a team.
