Virtual Design & Construction Specialist / Engineer

This is a remote role that will support the Commercial Virtual Design & Construction team with a focus on the plumbing or mechanical trade. The ideal candidate would be in the Eastern or Central time zone, preferably within commuting distance of locations in Raleigh, NC, Riviera Beach, FL, or Newport News, VA. Responsibilities include gathering, preparing, validating, and implementing 3D data for customer/project needs; conferring with onsite personnel on project adjustments; analyzing specifications to implement customer design initiatives; making autonomous decisions on pipe routing; performing audits and analysis for errors within 3D data; ensuring deliverables support needs; communicating internally and externally; and applying critical thinking in reviewing design data. Qualifications include 5+ years of trade experience or a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on mechanical construction, knowledge of Construction practices and Building Codes for Mechanical and Plumbing/Piping Systems. Experience with computer aided software such as Revit, Glue, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud, etc. and Microsoft Office is preferred.
