Drive technical trade-offs and engineering execution — partner with Product and Architecture leadership to turn product strategy into executable plans. Ensure projects are scoped clearly, milestones are grounded yet ambitious, and dependencies are well-managed. Effectively challenge assumptions, surface risks early, and make trade-offs explicit. Own the balance between speed, quality, and sustainability. Build and shape the engineering org — design structures, processes, team structure, and performance systems that let a world-class team grow fast while staying aligned with our product architecture and workflows. Manage and grow people — run effective 1:1s, give clear feedback, and implement leveling and performance systems that keep expectations high and growth continuous. Maintain technical grounding — develop a clear understanding of how the product and systems work, and stay aware of their current state. Engage with code, builds, and technical reviews at a lightweight level to stay close to reality, enabling you to make well-informed strategic and organizational decisions.
