Job Description
Seeking an experienced Senior Technical Designer to join our team on an unannounced AAA game. The primary focus of this role is to implement game user interface via visual scripting using Electronic Arts’ Frostbite engine and tools. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in software engineering fundamentals, attention to detail in implementation and delivery, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities include creating functional UI elements within the Frostbite editor, utilizing the entity component system, writing maintainable, high-quality code using Frostbite's visual scripting language, working with Design, Engineering and Project Leadership to review UI feature designs, and collaborating closely with other technical designers and engineers.
Qualifications include 3 - 4 years’ experience in game development or a closely related industry, at least one shipped game in a technical design or software engineering role, strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, and a strong grasp of UI/UX principals.
