Job Description

The Clinical Admissions Therapist will be responsible for meeting with clients upon admission, building rapport, completing biopsychosocial assessments, and establishing treatment needs. They will demonstrate personable and competent communication skills to develop rapport with clients and referral sources, present programming information in a thorough and supportive manner to help clients gain access to care, and complete virtual biopsychosocial assessments for a wide range of ages. The therapist will also determine appropriateness and fit for virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP) level of care and construct provisional mental health diagnoses utilizing DSM-V criteria. They will document client information in accordance with regulatory standards using electronic medical record and assign treatment team members and group schedules while informing staff of new admissions. Finally they will collaborate with referral sources, hospitals, treatment centers, psychiatrists, therapists, and other behavioral health providers upon admission.
