Social Media and Community Engagement Specialist

Lynker Corporation, in strategic partnership with Fisheries Immersed Science Hawaii (FISH) as the FLOAT – the "FISH" and "Lynker" Ocean Alliance Team Joint Venture, is seeking a motivated Social Media and Community Engagement Specialist to join the NOAA Fisheries West Coast Region Communications and External Affairs Branch under NOAA’s ProTech Fisheries 2.0 program. The role requires developing and implementing an annual editorial content plan for NOAA Fisheries WCR social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X). Coordinate closely with NW and SW Fisheries Science Center social media leads. Create and publish multimedia content aligned with NOAA communications goals. Provide analytics reports (monthly and annual) and recommend improvements. Manage stakeholder email lists using Government Delivery. Issue one stakeholder newsletter per month and additional targeted communications. Attend weekly communication meetings and in-person workshops. Apply strategic digital outreach techniques and tools. Provide guidance and best practices for regional staff on digital engagement.
