Lead Engineer – Databases

We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer – Databases with deep expertise in Elasticsearch, Clickhouse, and other modern data systems. You will lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable, high-throughput database solutions that power key products and internal systems. This role emphasizes performance tuning, efficient data modeling, and the deployment of cloud-native database architectures that can handle both real-time and batch processing at scale. Responsibilities include designing and optimizing Elasticsearch and Clickhouse, developing scalable data models, improving query performance, integrating database best practices, ensuring high availability, defining schema governance, and evaluating new database services. Requirements include 5+ years of experience with cloud-managed database platforms, deep expertise in Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and Clickhouse, strong experience with SQL and NoSQL, ability to optimize query performance, experience integrating databases with application stacks, proficiency in at least two programming languages, understanding of cloud-native security, and experience with database monitoring systems.
