Senior Backend Developer

You will play a key role in developing and implementing robust, scalable backend services for a modern portal. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building services, APIs, and integrations that support seven critical insurance lines while ensuring high performance, security, and compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js framework - Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for frontend and external integrations - Build services architecture following best practices for distributed systems - Develop secure authentication and authorization systems using OAuth 2.0 and JWT - Create integration APIs for Microsoft Entra ID SSO and external partner systems - Implement business logic for workflows, claims processing, and policy management - Write comprehensive unit tests and integration tests ensuring 90%+ code coverage - Follow security best practices including data encryption, PII masking, and audit logging - Collaborate with frontend developers to design efficient API contracts and data models - Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards
