Senior Director of Strategic Communications

The Senior Director of Strategic Communications will oversee a team to support and amplify the work that state lawmakers and candidates across the country are doing to improve lives. Reporting to the Executive Director, the SD will be the in-house communications expert for TSP and lead efforts to amplify the work of state lawmakers and increase their effectiveness in communicating strategically, both on the campaign trail and in the Capitol. The role involves strategic lawmaker and candidate communications, media and press relations, digital engagement, rapid response planning, and internal communications/team management. This position also understands the interplay between state governments communicating state governance and electoral impacts.
