About the Role:
- Lead GiveWell's media and public affairs strategy, including relationship-building and rapid response.
- Develop and execute earned communications opportunities to increase understanding of GiveWell's work.
- Build and manage a small team, serving as a key member of the communications leadership group.
What You'll Do:
- Set strategy across media, thought-leader engagement, and public forums.
- Build high-trust relationships with journalists, podcast hosts, and other influencers.
- Own inbound media engagement and lead external response in sensitive situations.
About You:
- 10+ years of experience in media relations and public engagement, with end-to-end ownership.
- Exceptional communications judgment and ability to make complex ideas clear.
- Track record of building and leading teams, and advising senior leaders.
