Staff Test Engineer

Help improve product quality across Automattic by joining the QualityOps team as a Staff Test Engineer. Play a key role in the mission through automated UI testing, test strategy, bug triage, and quality metrics. Work will directly impact business results by making sure focus is always on the most important issues for users.

Test, review, and polish everything to ensure the highest quality for products. Create and maintain automated tests using tools like Playwright to build robust UI tests. Advise and collaborate with product development teams to improve their testing strategies and promote a proactive quality mindset. Drive continuous improvement by managing and improving test runners and CI tools. Triage and fix issues, prioritizing the highest-impact issues.
