Job Description
The Open Source Community Manager will cultivate and establish relationships with developers and maintainers, growing the developer community with initiatives and stories that establish Fluent Bit (and Chronosphere) as an active destination for both new and existing developers. They will also be a thoughtful point of contact for maintainers and community members to help recognize, reward, and amplify the work they're doing with Fluent organization and with Chronosphere. The candidate will engage with the community through various means, including Slack, social media, conferences, and other online forums, moderating, engaging, answering questions, and supporting users across channels.
Responsibilities include organizing and managing community meetups, hackathons, presence of community project(s) at industry events, and other engagements, working closely with marketing and community maintainers as needed. The Open Source Community Manager will create or manage the creation of technical and open-source content (e.g., tutorials, blog posts, FAQs, etc.) to engage with the developer community, develop and publish metrics on open-source contributions, and manage GitHub permissions, access, and settings.
