Voice Contributor - English (South Africa)

Project Overview:

• Project Hydrus is a scripted and conversational audio data collection project.
• Recordings may be used to create synthesized, AI-generated voices for conversational AI products.
• You'll review and sign a Consent Form before any paid session recording begins.

What You'll Do:

• Participate in two supervised sessions of approximately 4 hours each, guided by a Session Director.
• Record scripted material in a natural, conversational tone without a polished or announcer delivery.
• Record unscripted, spontaneous speech on a given topic with the same warmth and pace.

Requirements:

• Experience as a voice actor, actor, or theater performer, or comparable performance background.
• Native-level fluency in English (South Africa) and access to a quiet, treated recording space.
• Own a professional-grade microphone (e.g., RODE NT-USB Mini, Blue Yeti) and closed-back monitoring headphones.

Your Data & Privacy:

• Before recording, you'll sign a Consent Form covering data collection, use, sharing, and retention.
• Your voice recordings may be used to train AI voice models.
