Senior Engineer, Power Systems

Role Overview:

• Sparkfund is seeking a senior power systems engineer to support grid integration and DER deployment.
• You'll work beyond traditional utility boundaries across multiple markets with utility partners.

What You'll Do:

• Lead utility interconnection engineering and technical discussions with distribution planning and protection teams.
• Perform distribution system analyses including power-flow, short-circuit, and hosting-capacity studies.
• Develop operational technology integration solutions using SCADA, DERMS, ADMS, and relevant protocols.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of utility distribution or DER interconnection experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with CYME, Synergi Electric, OpenDSS, or ASPEN and strong knowledge of IEEE 1547-2018.
• Ability to travel approximately 15% and work independently within a remote-first environment.
