Summer 2026 -CEI Department – Interconnections Program Manager Intern

This internship offers an exciting opportunity within the evolving energy industry. Rhode Island Energy seeks interns to contribute to providing reliable and affordable electric service to customers in Rhode Island, while adapting to new industry opportunities. The position will work with Customer Energy Integration and will involve working with renewable energy interconnections across Rhode Island, from small residential systems to large commercial ones, from 2kw to 10MW of energy generation. The intern will work closely with team members and other departments, creating studies to assist developers with their interconnection plans and gain a high-level understanding of how the electric grid and renewable energy generation work together. The position requires candidates to be rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students enrolled in Environmental Science, Policy, or Management.
