Job Description

The GIS Data Analyst will identify and acquire data from authoritative sources relevant to land use planning. They will perform data quality control, cleaning, processing and GIS analysis, transform data into useable formats, including georeferencing and manual conversion of PDFs to spatial formats, and ingest data into the Ratio.City platform, including field mapping, styling and the creation of metadata. They will also develop scripts, processes and methods to automate or otherwise make data acquisition and maintenance more efficient, actively develop documentation, blogs, videos and other communication material that provides internal and external technical guidance and social media content, and research urban planning concepts across Canada to help develop a novel urban planning ontology.
