Job Description
Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Municipal environmental rules and regulations as well as Clarios Corporate Environmental Standards through the implementation and maintenance of an Environmental Management System. This will be remote (local to a plant) and 20-50% travel.
Lead and maintain environmental compliance programs, ensuring alignment with facility, regional, corporate, and regulatory standards through audits, inspections, and accurate recordkeeping. Administer environmental management systems, including hazard analysis, spill prevention, hazardous waste handling, emissions, emergency planning, and employee training. Serve as the technical expert and liaison to Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies, including preparation of required environmental reports and documentation. Monitor and analyze environmental regulations to assess impact on plant operations and guide proactive compliance measures. Communicate environmental risks, opportunities, and performance metrics to plant and regional leadership to drive continuous improvement. Promote a culture of environmental responsibility through strategic communication, training, and escalation of issues to appropriate leadership.
