Role Responsibilities:

  • Identify state and federal tax credits with a primary focus on jobs-based and basic investment tax credits.
  • Work directly with complex state hiring and employment incentive programs, such as Georgia Jobs Tax Credit and New York Excelsior Jobs Program.
  • Evaluate workforce and payroll data related to FMLA credits, military leave credits, and employer-provided childcare tax credits.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required, along with five+ years of experience in a large regional or Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Five+ years of state tax credit and tax research experience, with hands-on expertise in state hiring and jobs tax credits.
  • Technical foundation in tax credit analysis, compliance, and documentation, preferably in public accounting or incentive consulting environments.
