Job Description
The Bioinformatician is responsible for using bioinformatics tools to process, analyze, and interpret biological ‘omics data and NGS. Supporting both internal ATCC teams and external client bioinformatics needs by visualizing complex data and contributing to the development of the ATCC Genome Portal.
Responsibilities include writing custom bioinformatics scripts, leveraging ML/AI data science techniques, maintaining production scripts for NGS, and supporting the publication of WGS data to the ATCC Genome Portal. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is expected, with an emphasis on data visualization to communicate complex biological insights. Working within departmental code style guidelines and participating in code reviews are essential for code quality.
