Software Development Manager

AI Adoption Leadership:

• Model hands-on use of AI coding tools including Claude and GitHub Copilot in your own day-to-day work.
• Develop and maintain team standards for AI-assisted development and establish measurable velocity benchmarks.
• Coach individual contributors on effective AI prompting and building AI-native workflows.

People Leadership & Team Development:

• Provide direct management for six .NET developers including performance reviews and career development.
• Conduct regular 1:1s and team stand-ups to maintain visibility into workloads and goals.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety where people feel empowered to experiment.

Delivery & Project Execution:

• Own the application development backlog and release calendar, partnering with the Director of IT.
• Ensure projects are scoped, estimated, tracked, and delivered with clear communication.
• Use AI tools to accelerate delivery planning, technical documentation, and sprint retrospectives.

Technical Direction & Cross-Functional Partnership:

• Serve as a technical authority for the .NET application stack, guiding architectural decisions.
• Evaluate and recommend AI-native development approaches and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Act as the primary IT liaison for clinical and operational stakeholders, collaborating on roadmap planning.
