Job Description
The Sr. Database Administrator will be responsible for tuning, installing, and configuring database servers, setting up servers for the database environment, including Production and Non-production. Practical knowledge and support, including installations, and modifications to application databases is expected. Experience with SQL Clustering and SQL Always On administration is required. An understanding of point-in-time recovery and knowledge of backup and recovery tools is needed to establish an effective backup and disaster recovery solution. Proactive monitoring to address backup issues and fix broken SQL agent jobs is part of the role, as well as troubleshooting poorly performed stored procedures and queries. Ensuring data security through best practices, data masking, dynamic and obfuscation, SQL Cloud administration (Azure SQL, IAAS, and PAAS Support) are also responsibilities. Must participate in some after-hours work and provide on-call support.
