Software Development Engineer 3 (SDE 3)

Role Overview:

• As an SDE 3, you'll be a senior, hands-on engineer and technical leader who ships business-critical capabilities on tight timelines.
• You will own the design and delivery of multi-component features and raise the bar on reliability and security.
• Help scale the team alongside the CTO through code reviews, mentoring, and pragmatic process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and operate scalable backend services (NodeJS/TypeScript) that power MelodyArc's orchestration and workflow capabilities.
• Partner with the CTO to run, improve, and standardize the code review process.
• Drive system design for reliability, performance, and scalability (e.g., idempotency, retries, multi-tenant isolation).
• Build secure, compliant solutions aligned to SOC 2 Type II practices.

Basic Qualifications:

• 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, including NodeJS and TypeScript.
• 4+ years of experience in the design and architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience operating production services and leading technical projects from scoping to shipping.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience across the full software development lifecycle: coding standards, code reviews, automated testing, and operations.
• Experience building complex, distributed systems (e.g., workflow/orchestration engines, event-driven systems).
• Front-end proficiency with React, Redux, and modern JavaScript.
