Job Description
The Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for leading the execution of operational, tactical, and strategic cybersecurity initiatives on a day-to-day basis, including technical support for individual tasks. This position determines the time and resources needed to complete assignments and leads team members in prioritizing and completing tasks. The manager also handles people management, including career planning, training, hiring, and performance reviews.
Essential functions include providing leadership for threat detection, response, and recovery efforts, managing daily security alerts, ensuring incident readiness, establishing key performance metrics, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. This role also coordinates with IT and business units to align security strategies and maintain a supportive environment for employees, coaching and mentoring security analysts. Must be available to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
