Job Description

The College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST) invites applications to a part-time academic appointment for teaching the following course remotely, via Penn State World Campus, during Spring 2026 semester: IST 830: Cybersecurity Project Management. This course provides students with the principles of project management and knowledge of the project management skills and processes needed to select, initiate, and plan a project. Students will employ various elements of the project management process, software, tools and techniques in a complex cybersecurity environment. In addition to learning basic project management topics, including creating the project charter, developing project scope statements, creating the project schedule and budget, assigning project resources, and risk planning, students will explore more advanced topics in the area of cybersecurity project management, including cybersecurity risk management and assessment and agile project management. Students will learn the sophisticated techniques and management designs used to effectively manage risk and uncertainty, financial exposure and human constraints.
