Senior Mainframe Storage Administrator

This role is offered as hybrid work schedule or remote if outside the M&T Footprint. We are seeking a skilled Senior Mainframe Storage Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise-level mainframe storage systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IBM DS8950F storage systems, GDPS replication technologies, tape and disk management, and pervasive encryption. This role is critical to ensuring high availability, data integrity, and performance across our mainframe infrastructure. The responsibilities include configuring and monitoring GDPS Metro Mirror, Global Mirror, and GDPS HyperSwap environments, administering TS7780 virtual tape systems, performing disk and tape capacity planning, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Work closely with system programmers, application teams, and disaster recovery teams.
