About the Role:

  • Lead security and privacy efforts to protect students, educators, and partners.
  • Own the security roadmap, risk register, and customer assurance.
  • Mature and scale programs as the organization grows.

Expectations:

  • Keep an up-to-date risk register and communicate clearly through regular updates.
  • Support engineering with secure design reviews and actionable recommendations.
  • Lead SOC 2 compliance, incident response, and partner with Trust and Safety.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in security roles with at least 3 in leadership.
  • Experience implementing security controls in fast-moving engineering teams.
  • Background in DevSecOps, cloud environments (AWS EKS), and compliance audits.
