Communications Lead, Wikimedia Enterprise (Contract)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and own the external communications strategy for Wikimedia Enterprise.
• Build relationships with reporters and conference organizers to secure speaking opportunities.
• Serve as primary media liaison and manage daily press inquiries, interviews, and rapid response efforts.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Partner with internal teams to develop narratives and thought leadership.
• Coordinate with Wikimedia Foundation colleagues, volunteers, affiliates, and external partners.
• Manage relationships with external vendors such as PR agencies.

Measurement and Strategy:

• Use data and customer insights to refine messaging, content, and strategy.
• Set goals and KPIs for communications and track results.
• Share actionable insights with leadership and key stakeholders.
