Elevate the voices and stories of the Wikimedia projects and community through digital communications. Shape and execute digital strategies to connect our brands with global audiences. Manage the Wikimedia Foundation and Wikipedia social media channels, develop inspiring and engaging digital content that engages a wide range of audiences and reflects the Foundationβs values, voice, and tone. Possess the judgment and writing skills to be one of the public voices of the Foundation online.
As the product manager with the Language and Product Localization team, you will work with community members, researchers, engineers, designers, program managers, and external & internal partners to drive the strategy, build the roadmap, and deliver products that excite and inspire people to consume, contribute and share free knowledge in their own language and through innovative new forms.
Lead a team that integrates Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and Learning & Development (L&D) principles, ensuring that these two areas reinforce each other. Define and execute the People Growth & Belonging strategy, aligning with Wikimediaβs mission and organizational priorities. Lead, mentor, and develop part of the PGB team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
Oversee and lead communications for our legal, advocacy, and public policy work, and initiatives that aim to advance and protect the reputation of the Foundation, Wikipedia, and the global Wikimedia community of volunteers. As a vital member of the Media Relations team, develop proactive, innovative media, storytelling, and creative communications approaches that can help move the needle and secure influence among our key global audiences.
Serve as a point of contact and liaison between the Foundation and the EOR for staff-related matters outside of the US. Collaborate with the EOR throughout the staff lifecycle - onboard and offboard, employment changes, payroll processing, benefits administration, etc. Review, respond and resolve staff inquiries or issues, independently prioritizing those tasks based on timing and urgency of the request to ensure completion.
The Lead Program Manager will independently lead the strategic alignment, design, delivery, and evaluation of critical WMF programs related to volunteer developers and our Hackathons. You will work across multiple teams, departments, and Wikimedia stakeholder groups to deliver programs that achieve impact in strategic areas of change and development.
